Balmoral image Checking in on the ship was very easy and efficient. We didn’t have to line up for forever, it seems as if the staff had everything in order and we were settled in our cabin before we knew it. The ship does not have the glitz and glamour of other cruise ships but it does offer a comfortable and relaxed setting where you can sit back and enjoy a nice holiday.....

Black Watch image We did the 18 night cruise Southampton via Canaries to Cape Verde islands. Lots of sun and warmth. 2 days at sea then 1-2 port stops is ideal and we could have stayed on. A stable comfortable cruise. PASSENGERS.This is a smallish ship with 800 friendly passengers who get to know each other. This was 800 British passenger mainly age 65-101. At 63 my wife and I fitted in well and met lots of int....

Boudicca image After our first cruise last year with a different cruise company we were eager to book again and Fred Olsen's Boudicca had the cruise we were looking for at the time we wanted. Unfortunately this experience was not one we would want to repeat. The cabins are small with no fridge so not even a cold glass of water was available, the bed head rattled against the wall, the light switch is immediately ....

Braemar image We have had 2 previous cruises on Braemar which were really good, it ticked all of our boxes in terms of food, service, entertainment and comfort. We loved it all so much that we booked a Balcony suite last April 2010 for a special Birthday cruise this April departing the 26th for the canaries. Looking forward to it all until we received a letter from Fred Olsen on the 30th January advising us of ....

Black Watch image My wife and I celebrated our Silver Wedding anniversary on our first cruise on Fred Olsen Cruise Line Black Watch. What a wonderful and enjoyable experience it was. From the celebration package of Cake, Champagne, Portrait photograph and anniversay gift, to the entire crew, it really was a special occasion. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. We called at La Caruna, Lisbon, Gibraltar and Vig....

Boudicca image This ship had all the right services and facilities two young newlyweds could ask for! Drink was free flowing and the food was a plenty. We may have overdone it a little too much but hey it was out honeymoon. Every day was wonderful, I could go on the balcony and feel the sea breeze (great cure for a mild hangover). Just because food and drink were high in quantity does not mean the quality....

Black Watch image I would say the Black Watch needs a bit of a make over and that includes the dull PA system. The food was good, the activities were good, cabins really need some work as they are small and I wanted a double bed not two singles. Its a small ship so it has great potential however theres are things that need to be improved & you can't fault the staff as they are all great.....

Balmoral image Embarkation went very smoothly, our cabin was an inside cabin and it was one of the newly reburbished ones as the bathroom was very big, much bigger than the other ones we have been in aboard other ships. The food was great, restaurants and cafe's where all good. Booze wasn't as pricey as I had expected so that was a nice bonus.....
